We provide residential and commercial plumbing and related services in California, including:

Service availability may vary by location, technician availability, weather conditions, and operational capacity. Nothing on the Site constitutes a guaranteed offer of service, response time, or availability.

Estimates and Pricing

All estimates provided online, by phone, or through electronic communications are preliminary and subject to change following on-site inspection. Final pricing is presented before work begins whenever reasonably possible.

You acknowledge that hidden conditions, code violations, inaccessible systems, or incomplete information may affect final pricing. Diagnostic fees, dispatch fees, emergency fees, permit fees, and applicable taxes may apply.

Scheduling, Appointments, and Cancellations

Appointment windows are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We request at least two (2) hours notice for cancellations. We reserve the right to reschedule or refuse service at our discretion, including for unsafe conditions, abusive conduct, or code violations.

Emergency Services Disclaimer

Emergency services are subject to technician availability, weather, and operational capacity. We do not guarantee immediate response times or prevention of property damage. Customers are responsible for taking reasonable steps to minimize damage before technician arrival.

Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the property
  • Secure pets and hazardous conditions
  • Obtain required approvals from property owners or landlords
  • Disclose known plumbing issues, prior repairs, or code violations

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cash, and approved financing options. Returned checks may be subject to a fee up to $35. Past due balances may accrue interest at the maximum lawful rate.

Warranties

Limited warranties on parts and labor are provided as specified in your written invoice or service agreement. Warranties do not cover:

  • Misuse, neglect, or abuse
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Work performed by third parties
  • Acts beyond our reasonable control

Warranty claims must be submitted within the applicable warranty period.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, United Plumbing & Water Heaters shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

California Consumer Rights

Pursuant to California law and CSLB regulations:

  • You may be entitled to a written contract for qualifying work
  • Certain transactions may include cancellation rights under California law
  • You may file complaints with the CSLB

Calls and communications may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, and operational purposes. Certain communications may involve AI-assisted systems or automated scheduling tools. By communicating with us, you consent to such processing to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Privacy and California Privacy Rights

Intellectual Property

Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Any disputes shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the AAA in Alameda County, California. YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS ACTIONS to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms become effective upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
